Abiding: Living from Rest
Life is HARD! We have so many things vying for our attention and each one is begging to be placed at the top of our priority list; how do we manage it all? Jesus provided the answer for us in John 15: abide in Me as I abide in you! The Holy Spirit is the key to the Kingdom of Heaven being established within us, and He is inviting us to enter His rest so we can experience the hope, peace, joy and purpose that we long for!
Melissa McCormick - Turning Point Church, Muskegon
Rewind, Refocus, Reset
Return to your rest, O my soul Psalm 116:7
As servants of the King of Kings, we have pledged our hearts and lives to His service. Over time, we become fatigued, lose passion, and soon find our vision clouded. Before we know it we are going rogue, trying to fight in our own strength, wounding others, and living defeated lives.
In ancient times some armies had "fighting seasons" and when those seasons were done the soldiers returned home to rest, update their weapons, and in some cases celebrate. For some, God is telling us that our fighting season has ended. It's time to come rest awhile, wait on Him, and renew our strength. This session is intended to help us recognize battle fatigue and then rewind, refocus, and reset so that we may become more effective in our service to the Lord.
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint Is 40:31

Taking a Break - a Key Element for Marital Enrichment
Sometimes it seems like we are running on a hamster wheel: home, work, church, marriage. Our busyness wears us down so we have nothing left for those we love most. When people take a sabbatical from work, or they go on a hiatus, it is so they can work on other areas of their life that they haven’t given much attention to - either because of a lack of time, energy or desire. Many people are hoping for big changes in their marriage - What if the answer is simpler than we thought?
Katrina Ford - Living Word Church, Ludington

I know a 1/2 hr session is not going to completely change you or everything happening around you, but could it be the start?
